Robert Morris adds D1 men's wrestling for 2027-28
Robert Morris will launch a Division I men's wrestling program in Moon Township, the first D1 school to start or reinstate the sport since Morgan State. Jason Bryant counts it as the 35th new program announced in 2026.

Keegan Bassett, Brooklyn Picket and both Silva brothers, Thales and Thiago of California, are out of Super 32 with injuries, per MatScouts. Kooper Deputy is back in and plans 113 as of now, though 120 remains a question. Joey Bachmann has moved up from 175 to 190.

Robert Morris adds Division I men's wrestling, starting 2027-28
Robert Morris University, a private school just outside Pittsburgh, announced Friday it will add NCAA Division I men's wrestling, with competition expected to begin in the 2027-28 academic year. RMU Athletics announced the team for Moon Township and said additional details are coming soon.
RMU is the first D1 school to start/reinstate a wrestling program since Morgan State brought the sport back, which was first announced in 2021.
Why it matters: Another D1 program means more scholarship-level roster spots on the board for recruits.

Rogotzke replaces Khosravy on US U23 World Team
Ryder Rogotzke will replace Arian Khosravy at the U23 World Championships, USA Wrestling announced. The federation lists Rogotzke as a two-time age-group World Team member. No reason was given for the change.
