Rogotzke replaces Khosravy on US U23 World Team
USA Wrestling announced the swap without giving a reason for the change.
Ryder Rogotzke is in for Arian Khosravy on the United States U23 World Team, USA Wrestling announced. The federation described Rogotzke as a two-time age-group World Team member and tagged the event with #WrestleLasVegas. No reason was given for the change.
That is the whole of what has been said publicly. USA Wrestling did not say whether Khosravy is injured, and nobody has said why he is off the team.
A second U23 roster change
This is not the first shuffle on this roster. Joe Sealey was earlier named to the 79kg spot after Matthew Singleton went down with an injury, and Taylor Graveman replaced Amit Elor on the women's U23 team. The Rogotzke swap makes it the latest in a run of late additions to the American U23 group heading into Las Vegas.
Bloodround Wrestling summed up the reaction to the news in two words.
Our take: a two-time age-group World Team member is not a drop-off at this level, and a roster replacement this close to the event usually means the plan was already in place rather than improvised.
What to watch
