U23 Worlds open Monday, five Americans in Greco
Max Black, Otto Black, Brett Back, Adrian Artsisheuskiy and Ryder Rogotzke all go Monday in Las Vegas.
Greco-Roman leads off the U23 World Championships in Las Vegas on Monday, and the United States has five men on the mat, per Justin Basch.
The lineup is Max Black at 60kg, Otto Black at 67kg, Brett Back at 72kg, Adrian Artsisheuskiy at 82kg and Ryder Rogotzke at 97kg. Rogotzke was added to the team this week. Otto Black is also on the 2026 Senior World Team, which makes him the most accomplished name in the group before a match is wrestled.
The schedule
Opening rounds start at 1:30 p.m. ET Monday, with semifinals at 9 p.m. ET the same night. Medal matches are Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. It is on Flo.
That is a one day qualifying grind and a one day finish for the Greco side, so anybody who gets bumped early is leaning on a wrestleback inside a single session. Basch is tracking it live.
Brackets and what follows
The Greco brackets were set to be drawn in Vegas on Sunday night, roughly 7 to 8 p.m. ET, per Basch. Women's brackets are drawn Tuesday and freestyle Thursday, which lays out the order of the week in Las Vegas. Greco first, women's wrestling next, men's freestyle last.
Rogotzke's addition at 97kg is the newest piece of the American Greco roster and the one worth watching, because he came in late and still has to make the bracket work the same as everyone else.
