UWW lists Precious Bell, not Elor, at 72kg for USA

Justin Basch flagged the entry, and says Elor's most recent update had Seniors listed as TBD.

United World Wrestling has Precious Bell listed for the United States at 72kg for the Senior World Championships, not Amit Elor, per Justin Basch.

Basch posted the note himself, adding that Elor's most recent update said Seniors was TBD. That is the whole of what is public right now. Nobody has said why the entry reads the way it does, and there has been no announcement from Elor or from the federation explaining the change on the UWW list.

What it follows

Elor is already out of the U23 World Championships, where Taylor Graveman took the spot, as we covered earlier. A Senior entry that does not have her name on it at 72kg is the second piece of the same picture, and it is the bigger one.

For now, treat it as what it is. An entry list is not a withdrawal statement, and lists get corrected. But the United States' 72kg name on the UWW side is Bell, and Basch is the one reporting it.

Why it matters

72kg is the weight Elor has owned for the American program, so her name coming off the Senior entry changes the shape of the bracket for everyone else in it. For Bell, it is a World Championships start if the listing holds.

Watch for any statement from Elor clarifying the Seniors question she herself left at TBD, and watch whether UWW's entry list changes before the competition.

Our take: with the U23 withdrawal already on the record, this is the detail that tells you where the Senior season is heading for the weight, and the absence of an explanation is doing a lot of talking.
