Roberts, Schultz and Peak seeded for Greco at Senior Worlds
Seven other Americans go into the random draw as Greco opens the 2026 World Championships on Saturday.
Three Americans drew top-eight Greco-Roman seeds for the 2026 Senior World Championships, per seeds released by United World Wrestling. Dalton Roberts is No. 4 at 60kg, Cohlton Schultz is No. 5 at 130kg and Benji Peak is No. 7 at 72kg. The other seven Americans on the Greco roster are unseeded and will be drawn at random, per @justinjbasch.

USA Wrestling confirmed the release, noting three Americans earned top-eight seeds under the #WrestleAstana banner.
What a seed buys
A top-eight seed keeps the protected wrestlers apart in the early rounds, so Roberts, Schultz and Peak each avoid the other seeded names until deeper in their brackets. For the seven unseeded Americans, the bracket is pure draw, which means a first-round meeting with a seeded wrestler is live for all of them.

The three seeded names
Schultz at 130kg carries the highest-profile American seed in the group at No. 5. Roberts at 60kg is the best-positioned of the three at No. 4. Peak at No. 7 at 72kg sits at the back end of the protected group, which is the most fragile spot on the board if the draw lands badly around him.
Neither source lists the seven unseeded Americans by name or weight, and neither gives the criteria UWW used to set the seeds.
The men's freestyle side of the same championships already has its order of events, which we covered earlier.
What to watch
The Greco draws for all ten American weights, which determine who the unseeded seven open against.
