Jamalov out of Senior Worlds at 74kg, Uzbekistan swaps in Chuliboev

Per Justin Basch, it is the second straight year the Paris 2024 gold medalist will miss the Senior World Championships.

Razambek Jamalov is out of the Senior World Championships at 74kg. Justin Basch reported that the reigning Olympic champion was removed from the 74kg entries and that Uzbekistan has replaced him with Javohir Chuliboev. United World Wrestling has posted updated freestyle entries for the 2026 World Championships.

It is the second straight year the Paris 2024 gold medalist will miss Worlds. Basch noted that Jamalov was sidelined by knee surgery before Zagreb last year. Nobody has said why he is off the entry list this time.

What it means at 74

The Olympic champion at the weight will not be on the bracket, and Uzbekistan now sends Chuliboev instead. Basch framed it as part of a pattern at these Worlds, calling Jamalov "Another Olympic Champ OUT."

Two things to watch. Whether Uzbekistan or Jamalov's camp offers any explanation for the withdrawal, and how the rest of the 74kg field shakes out on the UWW entry list as it keeps getting updated.
