Welker vs Guilford set for Final X best-of-three Sept 25
USA Wrestling puts the women's freestyle rivalry on the Hilliard, Ohio card, with Real Woods and Bo Bassett wrestling off the same night.
Kylie Welker and Dymond Guilford will settle their World Team spot in a best-of-three series at 2026 Final X, USA Wrestling announced. The series goes Friday, September 25 in Hilliard, Ohio.
USA Wrestling billed it as a renewal, calling Welker a two-time World bronze medalist and Guilford a 2022 World Team member. That is the whole sell, two women with senior level World hardware or World Team credentials on their resumes wrestling three times in one night if it goes that far.
The best-of-three format is the same one USA Wrestling earlier confirmed for Kennedy Blades and Isabella Mir, so Hilliard is stacking series rather than one-off matches on the women's freestyle side.
Woods and Bassett wrestle off the same day
FloWrestling is promoting a September 25 wrestle-off between Real Woods and Bo Bassett, streaming live on FloWrestling. Flo's pitch leans on the gap in resumes, noting Woods took a bronze medal at the 2025 World Championships and still has to get through Bassett to make the team.
Neither post lists weight classes, and nobody has said how many matches deep either Welker series or the Woods wrestle-off is expected to go.
