David Taylor addresses fans who booed Dee Lockett
MatBoy posted the Oklahoma State coach's comments, and Christian Pyles says media were not allowed to film the match.
David Taylor addressed the booing directed at Dee Lockett during Sunday's 165 pound match at the Cowboy Invitational. MatBoy (@seth_duckworth) posted video of Taylor speaking on it, tagging the clip with #okstate. The text of what Taylor said is not in the post itself, so the only confirmed part is that the Oklahoma State coach went on the record about his own crowd.
GlobalWrestOrder backed him immediately and went after the fans involved, calling the booing "Absolutely disgusting bottom of the barrel behavior from the OSU fans that booed Dee Lockett at the Cowboy Invitational." The same account called Taylor "an incredible leader of men" and said it appreciated him standing up for Lockett.

Nobody has the match on video
Running alongside the fallout is a smaller argument about why nobody can watch the thing everyone is talking about. College Wrestling Desk pushed Christian Pyles to post footage, writing "You were there, post the video? Not sure how we don't have one video of this match somewhere" and pointing out that @stillyboys_ has "1,000 videos of wrestlers playing Jungle Ball, but not of the best match at 'their tournament???'"
Not sure how we don’t have one video of this match somewhere
Pyles answered flatly that it was not an option. "We weren't allowed to film brainiac," he replied, tagging both College Wrestling Desk and @stillyboys_. That is the only explanation anyone has offered publicly for the missing footage.
So a 165 pound match that drew boos from the home crowd, drew a response from the head coach and drew a public shot from GlobalWrestOrder is also a match no fan can actually rewatch. The sources do not say what happened in the bout, who Lockett wrestled or what the result was.
Our take: the lack of video is why this is still being argued about days later. A clip would settle what the crowd actually did and how bad it was, and without one the argument runs on secondhand accounts and Taylor's word.
Watch for whether anyone at the event posts footage, and whether Oklahoma State or Lockett says anything further.
We weren't allowed to film brainiac.
